The vigorous psych rock group Death Hawks embark on their first headlining European tour, taking place in 19 different cities throughout this May. The tour kicks off on April 30th in Stockholm and ends in Hamburg on May 21st.

– We’re very excited to start our tour in this season of rebirth! We’re off to play shows in some amazing venues in awesome cities, such as Warsaw, Salzburg, Budapest and Zagreb! It’s also great to return to Finland and play the summer music festivals, says vocalist-guitarist Teemu Markkula.

Indeed, after the intense European tour the Death Hawks’ summer continues with an array of festival shows in Finland and a few festivals abroad as well.

– We will be playing on every weekend from early June to mid August, with the exception of Midsummer’s Day weekend, which will be well spent relaxing and chilling out. To celebrate the our first proper summer festival season, Ancient Shaman Rhythm Section will join the band’s extended summer line-up on selected shows! Super sweet, says Markkula.

The beginning of this year was also action packed for Death Hawks. January saw them on a brief Scandinavian tour, returning for a encore in Norway in February as well as being nominated for both Nordic Music Price and Emma Award. In March they performed in Tallinn and taking part in the release festivities of the Full Steam Ahead -documentary in Berlin and Barcelona.

The coming autumn will keep up the fast pace with a new European tour and selected shows in Finland lined up and the third Death Hawks album in the making.

The band’s trusted ally Juho Tanskanen scripted, filmed and directed the music video for Cain Go Home, compiled of tour footage from earlier this year. The video is part of a future release feature film documentary.
